A RARE TOURISTS SPOTS IN ARUNACHAL PRADESH

Namsai: – The Namsai is called land of Golden Pagoda. The Chong of Namsai and Manmao are major centre of Theravada sect in the State. Namsai is 495 km away from Itanagar, is the capital of Arunachal Pradesh. The main tribes are residing in Namsai are Sinhpoo, Mishmi, Meyor and Khampti. Their main occupation is agriculture. There is also a bamboo processing centre in Namsai. Namsai is a Sub-Divisional headquarters famous for several Buddhist Viharas in the Khampti settlement area locally called ‘Chong’. The Chong of Namsai and Manmao are major centres of Theravada sect in the State. Majority of the population are follow Buddhist region. A visit of Namsai will offer you an opportunity to see colorful and rich tribal culture. They are one of the highest civilized tribes in Arunachal Pradesh. Namsai Reserve Forest has both tropical and sub-tropical characteristics.

Siang River: – Siang River is originates from Tibet and a form of the main flow of the mighty Brahmaputra. The rapids on the Siang River have been a main attraction for River Rafting and Water Sports. The challenging expedition begins at Tuting in Upper Siang. The river runs through the gorges of Nigguing and Marmon, both, with their thick forest covering. It negotiates the finest big volume white water in an area, which is often rated as one of the most inaccessible in the world-just getting to the jump-off point takes a journey of four days by boat and jeep. The self-contained 180-km run from Tuting to Pasighat includes a 10-mile stretch of massive rapids with names such as Moing Madness, Zebra Rock and Pulsating Palìsi. But there are calmer moments on the river where one can just float along with the current. This rapids flow of river has attracted tourists again and again. It is a perfects river for river rafting and water sports.

Mouling National Park: - It has been 195 km from Pasighat. This is in the Upper Siang district, covering an area of 483 sq. kms. Lush green forests and home to some rare wildlife such as Takins, Serow, Goral, Clouded Leopard, Black bear, Leopard, Red Panda, etc. During winter, large numbers of migratory birds are seen in this park. River Siang in this region is at the height of natural and scenic beauty. Visitors enjoy beautiful landscapes and natural beauty of Mouling National Park.

Wakro: - This is the hub of Kamlang Reserve Forest and Kamlang Wildlife Sanctuary with dense forest and wide floral and faunal diversity. The Sanctuary is home to hollock gibbon, tiger, takin etc. Glow Lake is a unique example of high altitude lake with scenic beauty, offering immense scope for adventure tourism.
