We have decided to go in Apollo Hospitals in Chennai for medical checks up for her (Ms Ruma Chakma) neck in which she is suffering from vocal cod and tonsillitis problems since a long time and for this reasons she can’t speak clearly and feels uneasy.
We have reserved connecting air tickets of spice jet from Agartala to Chennai and scheduled flight as on 24-05-2011 at 4.15pm. I along with my spouce and son started from kunjaban at 1.45 pm and reached agartala airport at 2.00 pm and as per rule we have taken boarding pass and completed security checkup. Due to bad weather the flight unable to landing in due time, after sometimes it was announced that, the flight will scheduled to departure at 6.00pm instead of 4.15pm. We had in deep tense for delay of flight because it was a connecting flight and supposed to be departured from Kolkata at 6.50 pm and due to late scheduled, the flight timing has been changed at 7.30pm instead of 6.50 pm. Anyhow we reached at kolkata airport at 8.00pm and immediately boarding to another connecting flight and arrived in Chennai airport at 10.30 pm. Then we have reserved taxi from Chennai airport to Hotel Residency near Apollo Hospitals. It takes 30 minutes from airport. We have booked one non-a/c room. There is one kitchen room along with kitchen appliances, dishes, cutlery and crockery etc and one can cook if he/ she will like cook.
Next day, as on 25th of May 2011, I along with my wife Ms Ruma Chakma and child mater Navarup Chakma have visited Apollo Hospital for medical checkups at 8.00 am. I am very much impressed when entered into hospital. It is comfortable and hospitable, neat and clean is centrally air conditioned. As per rule, one can register first, after that, they will guide to you which departments or doctors you would like to visit. I have registered Ms Ruma’s name to show E.N.T senior consultant and head & neck surgeon Dr M Babu Manohar. Then we went to doctor’s chambers and showed the registration file to secretary and she asked to wait few minutes and later got appointment at 9.30am to Dr M Babu, he check up necks and mouth with necessary machines and advised to surgery of vocal cod and tonsilators.He even advised to examined of urine, blood, e.c.g etc.
As a doctor his behavior is good and very caring. When we have visited his Chamber he even offered to chair all of us not only that, he was joking to my child mater Navarup. I was very tense when he (Dr) had advised to do surgery. I could not take decision to myself whether it will be good or bad.
Next day, as on 26th of May 2011, we have again visited to Apollo hospital and collected the necessary reports and all of the reports to be submitted the doctor and decided to do surgery both vocal code and tonsilators. This day we spent full day in Apollo Hospital.
Next day, as on 27th of May 2011, is supposed to do surgery both small poly of vocal code and tonsilators. I brought to my spouce Ruma Chakma with empty stomach at 8.30 am for pre- anesthesia check up before operation/ surgery. After sometimes, the checks up have been completed and doctor advised to come back hospital at 2.00 pm. We returned back to hotel to take rest and had some food and comeback at hospital at 2.00 pm. They had taken my wife to pre- operation room for dress up and after sometimes they shifted to operation theatre, it was approximately at 4.30pm. During these times I was very deep tense, my son Navarup was roaming second floor and sometimes running and asked me why mother’s taken in side the room? After one hour, doctor’s came out from operation theatre, and asked to doctor’s what about her operation? He replied that, the operation has been successful and everything is ok, then I feel relaxed and happy and released from hospital at 10.30pm in same day and doctor’s prescribed ten days mouth rest, diet to soft food, any juices and ice creams. She had 4 days bed rests in hotel, and then we decided to return in kolkata. As per decision I have reserved tickets on a/c 3 tier on Coromondal Express as on 01-06-2011 and started from Chennai at 8.45am and reached in Howrah at 12hrs on 2nd of May, 2011 and decided night halt in kolkata. Next day, we had indigo flight at 8.55 am and returned back to Agartala as on 03-05-2011.
It is said that, Mr Abhijit, Saibaba Travel Agency, opposite site of Women College in Agartala had help very much. He reserved least expensive air ticket from Agartala to Chennai and Kolkata to Agartala.
